Maori designer of the gold winning New Zealand garden in the bi-centennial Chelsea Garden Show in June 2004, Grant has again raised his international profile. The garden was the first New Zealand entry in the prestigious garden show and received a gold medal – the only ever to be presented to a first time entrant. The Maori components were the distinctive features of the garden, the Moko Waiwera stood as a focal point in the New Zealand themed garden, with the Hui Marae creating a space in which visitors could reside and enjoy the spectacular vistas and feelings the garden provoked.
